Christopher Korff

Christopher J. Korff received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry from The Ohio State University in 1996 as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Russian from the same university. Mr. Korff received his Juris Doctor degree in 2002 from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, where he was an Editor on the Journal of International Law, and earned Concentrations in Intellectual Property Law and International Law. Mr. Korff is a member of the Ohio Bar and is also admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. Mr. Korff is also a member of the Vereinigung von Fachleuten des Gewerblichen Rechtsschutzes (Association of Intellectual Property Experts – Germany). From 1996 to 1999, Mr. Korff was employed in the chemical industry as a process analytical chemist. Mr. Korff speaks Russian and German.

Mr. Korff is involved in all phases of patent prosecution with particular emphasis on preparation and prosecution of patent applications; client counseling; legal opinions involving patentability, validity, and infringement; prior art searching and evaluations; and intellectual property due diligence for mergers and acquisitions. Technical areas of interest include materials science and chemical matters such as: glass frits, flat glass, vacuum insulated glass, ceramic materials, inorganic pigments, electronic packaging materials, glass decoration, conductive pastes, chemical-mechanical polishing compositions, polyorganosiloxanes, plasticizers, thermoplastics, solar cells, electrolytic solutions, secondary batteries, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, star polymers and related processing conditions.
